    • Facebook Hashtags & Images in comments Hot stat: 50 million Facebook Pages • Facebook creates searchable hashtags to compete with Twitter for real-time marketing spend • Facebook launches images in comments, a feature for both users and brands or community managers, in a move to get more visual and follow the trend of Tumblr and Pinterest likes. • Facebook launches local currency payments API and asks developers to switch from Facebook Credits by September 12th.
