  7. 7. <ul><li>Branding is used to create emotional attachment to products and companies. </li></ul><ul><li>Branding creates a sense of higher (or a different) quality, that surround the brand name and logo. </li></ul><ul><li>Successful branding builds awareness, where people not only recognize your brand, but they also understand the distinctive qualities that make it better (or different) than the competition. </li></ul>

  11. 11. Exercise <ul><li>Working in small groups examine the logos on the handouts. For each one try and: </li></ul><ul><li>Name the company from its logo (5 points each correct one). </li></ul><ul><li>Remember the strapline for each one (10 points each correct one). </li></ul>
