Cathedral – A Brief History<br />Saint Mungo founded Glasgow around AD 500 establishing a church on the present Glasgow Cathedral site<br />The site was first consecrated in 397 AD<br />1136 AD the first Christian community in Glasgow was established on the site, which became the Glasgow Cathedral<br />The oldest part of the present structure was completed about 1258<br />Best preserved Medieval cathedral in Scotland<br />
