  1. 1. 103 Enterprise Architecture Modeling using DoDAF 1.5 & Metastorm ProVision® 6 Course Syllabus Important Facts: 5 days 65% Lecture/Demonstration 35% Hands-on Exercises Target Audience: Enterprise Architects, System/Application Architects, Data Architects, Technology Architects, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts as well as Managers and IT Professionals responsible for aligning IT infrastructure with business needs. Class Objectives: After completion of this five-day class, students will be able to create, maintain and publish a set of models and matrices required to represent all of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) 1.5 framework products using the Federal version of Metastorm ProVision. Also, students will be able to: • recognize and explain the purpose, contents and usage of the most frequently used DoDAF framework products • determine the most appropriate framework products for their organization • use two special DoDAF functions in Metastorm ProVision Federal - the Activity Based Methodology (ABM) function that automatically generates OV-3 and SV-6 objects from selected OV-5 operational activity models and the DoD Core Architecture Data Model (CADM) export / import function • retrieve information from the Metastorm ProVision repositories for answers to typical EA questions This course establishes a practical approach for performing enterprise architecture modeling using DoDAF 1.5, while providing an extensive hands-on introduction to the capabilities of Metastorm ProVision. The course examples and exercises contain integrated examples of all DoDAF 1.5 framework products. Prerequisites: This is an introductory level course for Metastorm ProVision. However, students in this class must have some familiarity with the Department of Defense (DoD) Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
