Free online advertising and marketing

 1. 1. Free Online Advertising and Marketing Paramark Corp.
 2. 2. Logging On to the Site

First thing you want to do is type in the address bar of the web page the following address: www.postlets.com

The following screen should come up.

Note the username and password that is used in the following slide.

Please use this account and do not create a new one.

 3. 3. Once you have put the correct information in, click the login button
 4. 4. This should be the next screen that comes up… As noted below, click on the “Create a New Postlet” button.
 5. 11. Craigslist

For those of you who do not currently have an account on craigslist, you will have to create a new one.

While doing that, please use your property email address as that is where the inquiries will be sent to.

 6. 16. Once you click on the continue button…

Your computer may have a security box come up.

Mine asks if I want to display the non-secure items

If yours does as well, click on the accept button.

The next screen should give you an example of what your craigslist ad will look like.

 7. 17. At this point, you have not posted your ad yet. You must scroll to the bottom of the page and click continue
 8. 18. Continue button is located in the lower left hand corner
 9. 19. Now you must type in the code as you see it displayed (another security measure) and then click continue again.
 10. 20. Completion

At this point, you should have completely posted your ad on Craigslist and postlets.

You should get a confirmation email almost immediately (in most cases).

Your confirmation email should give you a timeline as to when the ad will be available for viewing.

 11. 21. Tips

Check the advertisement frequently to make sure all information in accurate

Check to see where it is at since the ads are posted in order by date.

Studies have shown that most people will not go more than two pages back on craigslist to find what they are looking for.

Delete your ad from craigslist as often as every three days and repost to ensure it is at the top of the list

 12. 22.

Properties with vacancies should be updating as often as possible.

In the description of your ad in postlets, you can mention that you have other types of units at your property (i.e. bedroom sizes, affordable, market, baths etc.)

I will be posting all ads created on postlets to the Paramark facebook page for more online advertising. This is why it is essential to use the account that I created. Otherwise, I cannot access the correct HTML code that was created.

Use postlets, you may have noticed on one screen that they automatically post to about six different online advertising areas, like Hotpads and Google maps.

 13. 23.

Use current pictures. Applicants don’t want to see what the property looked like 10 years ago on a nice summer day.

It doesn’t matter what type of property you have, this is a great resource. Younger people do use the internet more for “shopping”. However, studies have shown that seniors are the fastest growing age group in online media and with boomers reaching the senior age group, it will only continue to grow.

Be creative… You will notice that a lot of companies are advertising on craigslist. Try to find something that will catch the potential applicants eye!
