Gage e Hannah Sweatland, first of 5 children. • Grows up and attends school in Lebanon • May 1847: He’s hired by Rutland and Burlington Railroad, attaining foreman role • September 13, 1848, 4.30 p.m.: the crowbar starts traveling... • November 25, 1848: Goes back to Lebanon after recovering from injuries
