  • 5. FieldTest - Currently in private beta. When we started our private beta we launched with the ability to prototype a fixed dimension for asmartphone, but let’s face it, we’re living in a multi-screen world. One of the most common bits of feedbackwe’ve received is the ability to create prototypes for iPad and different orientations. We gave it some thought and realized if we were going to put the work into it we might as well allow thecreation of prototypes of ANY dimension. After all, who knows what other devices might be coming our way inthe following weeks, months and years. So, that’s what we did.Website: https://go.fieldtestapp.com/signup iPad GUI PSD - A free vector iPad GUI set.Now that Apple has officially released the iPad we want to start designing for it. While Apple’s interfacebuilder is great, it doesn’t really allow us to create custom UI elements on the fly. We decided to take a pagefrom our iPhone GUI PSD and create one for the iPad.The PSD was constructed using vectors, so it’s fully editable and scalable. You’ll notice there are a few new UIelements as compared to the iPhone interface. The workable screen design is formatted to 768 x 1024 soanything you design in the Photoshop file can easily be brought over to the SDK.It’s 1.0 so I’m sure we’ll notice missing elements as we begin to use it. We’ll perodically update it to includenew elements as we notice them or as they become available through any SDK updates.Website: http://www.teehanlax.com/blog/ipad-gui-psd/

  • 7. Review for DevAs iOS indie app developers weve loved the whole development experience: the "Apple system" is really greatfrom this point of view.We found it very difficult to get people to beta test our app before release. At marketing times after release,we faced the huge difficulty of getting enough reviews on the App Store in order to get a rating displayed. Werefused to ask our friends/family to post biaised reviews.Website: http://www.reviewfordev.comTo Learn more about Apps, and how to optimize your app, check today Gabriel Machuret App storeoptimization blog at http://www.asoprofessional.com
