A secondary objective will be to ensure that other types of pollution detectable by remote sensing will also be assessed. 1.3 The tasks of the EGEMP are the following:Provide scientific and technical support to the European Commission, EMSA, and EU Member States, Candidate and EFTA Countries in the field of pollution detection and tracking by satellite monitoring; Analyze and support the process towards standardization, for reporting system, and for agreement on best practice; Information exchange, make available to all countries the results of past or ongoing studies or projects related to remote sensing monitoring of marine pollution; Draw lessons from the use of satellite information in incident management, particularly in the context of large oil spills, including the interpretative constraints at the scientific level.Page 16th EGEMP meeting Nov 21.-22., 2012, Portoferraio, joined withmartedì 27 novembre 12 ARGOMARINE
