    • Conclusions This SW tool offers a solution to consulting companies for mobile communication regulatory projects: - RAN strategic planning - Deployment Costs Optimization It gives the chance of analyzing every radio access technologies that are currently or going to be deployed in a near future, performing simulations based on highly accurate, reliable and adaptable algorithms This study is focused on the efficiency comparison, in terms of cost, between the two most relevant technologies when offering the mobile broadband access service, HSPA and LTE J.E.     • Conclusions LTE is more efficient for transferring high binary rate data than HSPA Investment cost savings from 70% to 80% when installing LTE equipment instead of HSPA equipment Factors that should be taken into account when deciding which technology is deployed: - Type of subscriber and demand of the service - Urban, suburban or rural environment - Available spectrum for each technology (bandwidth and frequency band) J.E.
