Effective Matching

 1. 1. Effective Matching AIESEC Denmark 2008
 2. 2. Effective Matching
 3. 3. If you are promoting a TN

Prepare a promotional Email which includes an

introduction of the company, the issue-based

project (if any), the brief job description, the TN

ID and the learning points the EP may be able to

encounter. Keep it concise and fact-oriented.

 4. 4. If you are promoting an EP

Prepare a promotional email which includes the

Basic information of your EP, a motivation

letter, CV (PDF) and the EP’s unique selling

points.

 5. 5. How to contact EP/TN manager ?

Emailing Through sourcing depending on your purpose of search, you will then have the email addresses of TN/EP managers. Make sure you email them individually instead of spamming all of them in the same email. This would increase your chance of getting replies.

Networking Myaiesec.net’s networking function allows you to add people onto your list and send messages to their .net inbox directly.

Direct contact If you’re looking for TN/EPs from a specific country/region, try to find the wiki page of the country/region or contact the LC’s responsible directly through searching for contacts on network function.

 6. 6. Manage large scale TN/EP pool

Large (10+) TN demand are recommended to be

sourced offline and through country

partnerships . Relationship building is essential

to country partnerships; this can usually be

done through international conferences or

CEEDs.

 7. 7. Important Matching Tips

Reply to your mails :Even if you are not interested in the EP that is applying, it is really

important to send a reply to every email!

2) Dedication: Spend time on myaiesec.net and checking your mails at least once a day!

3) Keep track : Use an excel sheet to keep track of all the EPs that have applied for your

TN and the follow up needed! Keep track of their qualifications, documents sent or still

needed (motivation letter, Acceptance note etc.) and important notes about their

matchability (availability, languages, etc.)

4) Know the preferred and required backgrounds: Keep in mind your requirements, but

try to have the company be as flexible as possible – especially on the regions and

countries where the candidate is coming from

 8. 8. Important Matching Tips

5) Understand very well the Job Description : Short listing candidates for a TN is very

important job! You are gaining experience in recruiting and HR, so make sure you

understand very well what the company needs and the JD in detail to make your work

easier!

6) Use a sample promotion email : It is a good idea to provide ENOUGH information in

the emails you send.

7 ) Use pictures/websites/ or stories of past interns: When sending information to

potential EPs, why not include more information about the company – things like

pictures of the office or of your city, websites related to the company, stories/photos

of past interns!

 9. 9. Important Matching Tips

8) Be resourceful: If there is an internship you really want and the TN manager is not

replying to emails, try to call the LC office or send a text message to the TN Manager.

You can find contact information in the networking page of myaiesec.net .

If you are an EP make sure you have your Application kit ready with CV, Cover Letter

and EP id

9) Understand your role and ask your VPX or MCVP X if you have any questions!

10) Use search/match option : Let the system do the work to limit your searching!
