      • Establish a research practice link between PLWHA organizations and research bodies

      • What sort of education or health promotion programs does your organisation offer?
      • Upon what basis do you make decisions about providing education or health promotion programs?
      • Are there any unique education or health promotion programs to your organisation? What are they? What makes them unique?
      • Which education or health promotion programs that are offered by your organisation are most successful?

      • Inventory of resources and details relating to:
      • Title of each campaign, project or resource produced in the previous 2 years and a brief description of these.
      • The target audience?
      • The aims and outcomes of the resource?

      • Written comments included:
      • From year to year as priority issues emerge in social and clinical research…we develop project proposals’ ’.
      • ‘ Most of our work is either inspired or based upon similar programmes developed interstate – in particular NSW ’.
      • ‘ Decisions are based on research, input from clients and through surveys [and] input from colleagues in the sector ’.
      • ‘ In the ideal world on evidence. However, we have never been funded to do health promotion…There have been a few students placed at PLWHA over the last few years…and two students are working on the subject of disclosure at the moment ’.
      • ‘ We try to weave health promotion into situations already existing ’.
      • ‘ It seems that the format of social/support groups where health information and promotion can be dispersed is the most successful for us as a small organization without discreet funding for campaigns or health promotions ’.
