      • Human Performance is one of many sub-divisions of Kinesiology.
    • What is Kinesiology?
      • Kinesiology is the study of the human body during movement.
      • The mission of the human performance program at ACC is to prepare students to educate people of all ages about the importance of healthy lifestyles, physical activity, and health promotion.

    • Human Performance graduates enter a variety of careers and graduate programs related to the promotion of healthy lifestyles.

    • There are many sub-disciplines within Human Performance including anatomy, biomechanics, exercise physiology, motor learning, teaching and coaching, sport & exercise psychology, exercise testing and prescription, and management.

    • 100% of HUP majors who complete coursework at ACC pass the health and fitness specialist or personal training examination for ACSM.
    • 80% of HUP graduates go on to a four year school to earn their bachelor ‘s degree
