Ability to learn application testing on the Windows platform, Client/Server .Net and Java applications, data synchronization, Global Platform and Biometrics, and/or XML/SOAP applications. Ability to learn to create SQL statements. Ability to create/update test cases. Ability to learn to use automated testing tools such as TestPartner, SilkTest, or Quick Test Pro. Ability to use issue tracking software such as JIRA, BugZilla, or TestTrack Pro. Strong time management skills. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to perform manual testing using various testing methods. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements. Must be a US Citizen. The Quality Assurance Analyst I candidate of choice will perform the following activities: Support quality assurance needs of various back-end software applications, databases, web services, data files, hardware components, system integration and sync processing. Test a few major releases and numerous maintenance or patch releases in 3 to 6 month time frame. Working on 1-2 projects at a time. Creating/updating QA plans and test cases to verify application functionality with the help of other Quality Assurance Analysts. Test on a client/server .NET application that is primarily tested in VM environments on tester desktops and Prod-Sim environments. Understand the database and network architecture used by the applications and how it may or may not impact the testing efforts for the software releases. Manually test applications. Ability to work seamlessly in a multi environment to obtain requirements, specs and pertinent data to accurately test the application is essential. Understand application business rules with the help of other QA Analysts. Weekend maintenance or patch releases. Attend mandatory training.
