As you drive through the Black Forest you will find many shops to buy the famous German CooCoo clocks. The route on the ridge of the Black Forest isapproximately 3,000 feet elevation.
As you wind along the Rhine Valley Southward you will follow the Rhine River and see many German vineyards.
Today you cross over the River going through tunnel after tunnel under the Austrian Alps. As you climb in elevation into the alps you come to St. Anton, a famous skiing village.
Day 4 you are on your way down the autobahn to one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Munich. You will stay at this 5 Star hotel in the heart of Munich. The Munich Opera is within walking distance. Rick and I saw Tosca at this theatre and it is spectacular.
Neuschwanstein Castle is a 19th-century Gothic Revivalpalace on a rugged hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southwest Bavaria, Germany. The palace was commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and as an homage to Richard Wagner who was a was a Germancomposer, conductor, theatre director and essayist, primarily known for his operas.
Oberammergau - site of the famous passion play, a rococo church, houses with frescoes on external walls, wood carving, Ettal (Benedictine Abbey, founded 1330) and the SchlossLinderhof (Linderhof Castle), built in the rococo style for Bavarian King Ludwig II in 1874. This is probably the most opulent castle that Ludwig built.
As we wind down our trip to Germany and drop off our car, you should know that we have sold 189 tickets for the Mercedes fundraiser. We netted $12,200 from the Xplode Event. We need your help in getting into the Broker offices and any other meetings available (Broker Forum in April?) to tell the story.
