  • This helps us to run stats in every area of our website. We changed our Google account at the beginning of 2012 to allow us to have this capability.
  • Bounce Rate is determined by visitors exiting the site on the same page they entered. Campaigns are marketing efforts such as eblasts, banner ads, special Navigation summary tells you where a person went throughout the site from page to page.
  • The AAMA site is broken down into four audience sections as shown. The two links for Architects and other Professionals and Builders and Contractors actually go to the same audience section with different branding. The graphics along the bottom are hot buttons to key areas of the site. The gray text box on the right is an editable box we use to highlight important topics.
  • Quick links allow us to direct users to summaries of information regarding important topics which may then lead them to other pages throughout the site for more details or to order a particular item such at the market study.
  • New in 2012 is the Accredited Labs Search. Now site visitors can look for an AAMA Accredited Lab based testing standards, keywords, location or you can simply get a listing of all labs. Events and News sections are separated by categories or you can view “all” items in these areas listed by date. Council pages are developed based on member efforts through our marketing committees. FMC recently completed a re-design to improve their pages, and currently the APG Marketing Committee is developing content for the AW and CW Councils.
  • Anyone can sign up for one or both of these RSS feeds by clicking on the RSS icon on the What’s New page and the News page.
  • The Members Only search also includes a MyList feature which offers the ability to create a list of several members’ contact information to be downloaded. See Website Quick Tips on the site for details on how to use the MyList feature in Members Only.
  • Each of these sections has it’s own branding image. The Architects & Professionals and Builders & Contractors sections are the exact same content. These sections are set up not only for branding but also to cater the content to the specific target audience. For example, Homeowners do not have as much detailed or technical information as Manufacturers & Members.
  • For the purposes of this training, I am going to focus on the Manufacturers and Members section for the most part as it contains the most amount of content but, I will show each audience section home page for a comparison during the demo.
  • The CPD is an online database listing products that have been  authorized  by AAMA for certification by the manufacturer. Products must bear the AAMA Certification Label to be certified in this program. By placing an AAMA certification label on a product, the manufacturer certifies that the labeled product meets the requirements for certification. This database is updated on a regular basis by ALI as companies are added, removed or information has changed for a licensee. The Last Date Updated is automatically updated as a new list is uploaded to the site.
  • This directory geared toward the homeowner. In most cases, when a consumer (or sometimes a store such as Home Depot or Loews) calls with a problem regarding their window is it because they have one of our gold labels on their window. In 2012 we redesigned the AAMA home page to allow a more direct route for homeowners to help them look for the manufacturer of their windows. If you cannot find a code in this directory, you are directed to check the current CPD.
  • When clicking the hot button, you will be directed to the landing page for the store which gives brief instructions, a catalog link in PDF, an order form and a link to the publication search.
  • Publication search options are by category, product code or keyword. A partial code can be entered with the beginning of a document number (i.e.; 101 rather than typing in the entire document number). To place an order once an item is located the user clicks on the “add to cart” shopping cart icon. After they have selected the items they click on the “Check Out” link and read the Terms of Sale. Once they continue they have the option to login to receive a member discount. Login username and password information is listed in MP under each individual that is an active member. Payment can be made by credit card, check, money order or wire transfer.
  • The VCL showcases window and door component manufacturers who have submitted samples for testing and those samples were found to be in full compliance with the applicable specification. Profiles certified for compliance through the AAMA Profile Certification Program in which randomly-selected production line samples of extrusions are tested by an accredited third-party laboratory for conformance with the appropriate AAMA profile specification. The requirements include impact resistance, dimensional stability, heat resistance, weight tolerance, and color retention as determined from years of actual outdoor weathering tests. The VCL is updated on a monthly basis and the Profile list is updated as information is added or removed.
  • Product Certification is the first sub page under the Certification menu
  • After each AAMA event, PDF versions of approved presentations and minutes are posted under Tools & Events for members to review. Under Procedures and Guides you will find Conference and Chair orientation information, Research Foundation, Leadership Workshop information and soon we will also include items like the AAMA bylaws and other general member guidelines such as this. Record maintenance can be performed in MO by main and secondary individuals such as changing login information, contact information, editing email subscription lists. Only a main individual can edit other individuals contact information or add and remove other individuals. A secondary individual can make changes to their own contact information only. Once changes are submitted, they are sent through MP to Jacqueline Luna for approval. This takes from 24-48 hours for the changes to become live. Legislation & Codes is updated as new issues arise and are provided by Maureen Knight. A service that is used for tracking legislative activities is CQ Roll Call. Industry Organizations Updates are provided for the organizations that our technical staff participates in (ASHRAE, ASTM, NFRC)
