The P.E.A.C.E. Foundation was established in 1993, as a Trust, (Reg. No. 2114/94)based at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. The Foundation is a registered Non-profitorganization (NPO number, 021-948) and a registered Public Benefit Organization(PBO) –No: 930014634, with Tax Exemption for donors.The main purpose of the P.E.A.C.E. Foundation is the alleviation of poverty in ruralcommunities. The focus of the Foundation’s work, to date, is mainly in KwaZulu-Nataland the Limpopo Province where the Foundation has established a number ofpreschools ,two Hubs , nine IT centres along with Cooperatively run Tourism andAgricultural initiatives.The Acronym, Planning, Education, Agriculture, Cooperatives and Environmentform the framework for the delivery of information and services into P.E.A.C.E. Centers.

Strategic Focus: 2012• Establishment of 19 ICT HUBs in the Blouberg Local Municipality (Limpopo Province)• Main purpose is to provide central access to communication facilities that will be shared by local schools, communities and entrepreneurs• We are currently working together with the Department of Education and the Blouberg Local Municipality to identify appropriate sites where the 19 ICT HUBS will be deployed• Other partners who can make financial and or hardware/software contributions are welcome to form part of this exciting initiative• The HUBS will be run by local co-operatives registered with the Department of Trade and Industry• Monitoring and evaluation of the performance of the HUBS will be done centrally and monthly reports will be shared with all stakeholders• For further information, please contact us on 011 911 8403 or firstname.lastname@example.org
