HISTORY OF GOOGLE CHROME <ul><li>Google Chrome is a web browser released by GOOGLE which uses the webkit layout engine and application framework. </li></ul><ul><li>The name is derived from the graphical user interface frame, or &quot;chrome&quot;, of web browsers. </li></ul><ul><li>It was first released as a beta version for microsoft windows on 2 September 2008, </li></ul>
  5. 5. FEATURES OF GOOGLE CHROME <ul><li>Task manager </li></ul><ul><li>One box for search, address, and history </li></ul><ul><li>Upgraded tabs </li></ul><ul><li>New support for Web applications </li></ul><ul><li>Incognito browsing </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>Task manager: Chrome has its own Task Manager that shows you how much memory and CPU usage each tab and plug-in is using. </li></ul><ul><li>One box for search, address, and history: Instead of having separate input boxes for the search bar and the address bar, Google has united the two in Chrome. </li></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>Upgraded tabs: In Chrome you can drag a tab into its own window, and drag it back to the main window. This is called “Dynamic Tabs. </li></ul><ul><li>New support for Web applications: Current Web applications include Google Docs, Salesforce.com, and Outlook Web Access. </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>Incognito browsing: Chrome includes an Incognito mode in which users can go to sites but nothing from that session — history, form fields, or cookies ----will be saved in Chrome. </li></ul>

PROS OF GOOGLE CHROME <ul><li>Light weight, colorful, peaceful, easily browse facility, contains own task manager, great bookmark facility... </li></ul><ul><li>Google chrome contains its own task manager in that, we can see the options like, memory, cpu, network. </li></ul><ul><li>It has a very simple design, which allows us to browse faster than any internet browser out there. </li></ul>

CRONS OF GOOGLE CHROME <ul><li>Missing status bar: Although chrome claims to be of high speed, there are slow sites where status bar helps you know that something is being done by the browser. </li></ul><ul><li>Missing the search bar. The address bar does both the things for you. Although it is a new approach and could be very helpful once you become used to it but could be annoying sometimes. </li></ul>
  13. 13. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOOGLE AND GOOGLE CHROME…… <ul><li>Google is a company that makes a search engine that is referred to as Google. A search engine is a website that allows to find other webpage by typing as keyword. </li></ul><ul><li>Google Chrome is a web browser made by Google. A Web Browser is a tool that lets you view other webpage, including the Google search engine. </li></ul>

CONCLUSION: <ul><li>Google Chrome is still in beta release and may have a few bugs to work out, but overall it's a lightweight browser designed for the latest web designs and tools. </li></ul><ul><li>It addresses the memory leak problems of other browsers by building a browser from the ground up, using innovative technology. </li></ul>
