  • 2. Hardening is like a callus or like the tough bone fibers that bridge a fracture.
  • 3. Spiritual Hardening begins with self-sufficiency,
  • 4. Security in one’s self, and self-satisfaction.
  • 5. The real danger is that at some point, repeated resistance to some to God will yield an actual inability to respond,
  • 6. which the bible describes as a hardened heart
  • 7. Insensitivity indicates advanced hardening.
  • 8. Here are some of the warning signs
  • 9. Warning Signs: Disobeying – Pharaoh’s willful disobedience led to his hardened heart
  • 10. Exodus 4:21
  • 11. Having wealth and prosperity – Taking God’s blessings for granted can cause us to feel as if they were owed to us.
  • 12. Deuteronomy 8:6-14
  • 13. Rebelling and being discontented – Suffering or discomfort can create a attitude that blames God
  • 14. Psalm 95:8
  • 15. Rejecting a deserved rebuke – Rejecting God’s gift makes our neck stiff and our heart hard
