Cleanup

3. On Sunday 31st of March we ( Josie, Kaixi,
Zara, Isobel and Emily ） went to Eastern
beach to do a beach clean up.
We wanted to help after having our talk from
Sustainable Coastlines.
We met up and got ready.

4. And we were off!

5. We found a lot of pieces of plastic, bottle
caps, lollipop sticks and lots of jellyfish
costumes. We even saw a few real
jellyfish on the beach! We also found
some interesting things….

6. Zara found a shoe,
Emily found a t shirt,
And Isobel found a sock!

7. Soon we were at the end of the
beach:

8. Look at all the rubbish we found!

9. We threw the rubbish in the bin, washed our
hands, went to the dairy and bought an
iceblock and some candy each. It was
delicious!

10. You can make a difference too!
Just grab your friends,
Get your parent’s permission,
Decide on a date, time and place,
And go!
If we hadn’t helped, all this
would end up in the sea and
probably in a sea creature’s
stomach.
