Broadcasters should embrace media sites such as YouTube to expand their listening demographic, as the younger generation have a shorter attention span. By using a wider variety of broadcasting platforms such as television and video content, podcasts and blogs the broadcaster is able to access a larger audience and gain more attention through this process.

Don't settle for your laptop's built in video camera and microphone. Use high production values: A little investment in quality lighting, audio and video camera equipment can go a long way in attracting and maintaining viewer interest.
