  • 2. ADJECTIVES  Adjectives are words to talk about nouns.  Adjectives have syllables (1 syllable: Sad, 2 syllables:hap-py, 3 syllables: Beau-ti-ful)  Examples: big, small, thin, fat…
  • 3. COMPARATIVE ADJECTIVES  Comparative adjectives are words to talk about the difference between two animals, people, things…  To make comparative sentences of 1 syllable adjectives add -ER to the end of an adjective  Examples: Short:curt/baix:shorter( més curt que/més baix que) New:nou:newer(més nou que..)

SPELLING RULES  Adjectives ending –E, add –R (nice-nicer)  Adjectives ending C+V+C, double the last consonant and add -ER (fat-fatter)  Two syllables adjectives ending –Y drop the Y and add –ER  Two or more syllable adjectives write “THE MORE” before the adjective (difficult-the most difficult)  IRREGULAR ADJECTIVES: Good-better-the best Bad-worse-the worst Far-further-the furthest

  • 6. SUPERLATIVE ADJECTIVES  Superlative adjectives are words to talk about the difference between 3 or more people, animals or things…  To make superlative sentences of 1 syllable adjectives add –EST to the end of an adjectives.  Examples: Tall: alt: tallest Old: Gran: Oldest
