Introducing… New Horizons for Children, Inc. A Christian-based International Hosting Program

Coming summer of 2009, New Horizons for Children will be bringing orphans from Latvia, Russia and Ukraine to America.

Can you imagine?

Not having anyone to call Mom or Dad? No one to turn to, to share your joys or your tears? No one to teach you that there’s a God who cares?

That’s what orphan children experience everyday.

Why should we help? Turned out of orphanages at age 16, over 80% will fall prey to homelessness, drugs, prostitution, lives of crime and suicide. Orphans usually feel left out, left behind and unworthy. They need your help. Christian faith demands that we help…

What does God think? Psalm 68:5 – “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. Matthew 18:5 – “And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.” James 1:27 – “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
