<ul><li>Susie Samon is a typical fourteen year old girl that is raped and murdered by her neighbor, Mr. Harvey. It's not the first time that Mr.Harvey has murdered, Susie is the 10th victim in a long line line of victims. After killing Susie, Mr. Harvey (in book) immediatley puts her in a safe, and disposes her in a sink hole. In the moive, Mr. Harvey leaves her in his basement and lets her sit for a couple of weeks. Susies dad somehow knows that Mr. Harvey killed his daughter, but the police will not listen to him. (In the book) after a couple of months Susie 's mother goes and leaves her family and moves away, then she has an affair with the police-man. While all this is going on Susie is watching in the Between, between heaven and earth. This book is all about the pain that Susie feels as she watches her family on earth, and the struggle that her family must overcome because of losing a loved one. </li></ul>Summary
