    • Mold & Mildew A Presentation By:
    • Mold Facts You Should Know
      • The effects of Mold and mildew have made headlines in the past few years. At 3R’s Construction we take very seriously the potential adverse health effects that can arise from exposure to a contaminated environment.
    • Causes of Mold
      • If you have had a water leak, or standing water that has lasted for longer than 22 hours, you likely have a viable mold, mildew, or fungus problem.
    • Common Places to Find Mold
      • Basement – Crawl Space – Attic – Kitchen – Bathroom – Furnace ducting – Under cabinets – Ceiling – Bathroom floors – Sun rooms – Hot tub enclosures – Behind furniture against exterior walls – Insulation within walls
    • What to Look For
      • If you suspect you might have a mold problem, here is what you should look for:
      • 1. Visible mold growth
      • 2. Dark spots on the wall, ceilings, or any organic material
      • 3. Unusual odor
      • 4. Respiratory infection or allergy like symptoms
      • 5. Weakened auto immune system
    • What to do If You Suspect a Mold Problem
      • Have the house tested by 3R’s Construction or any other IICRC certified mold technician.
      • We recommend a minimum of two samples. These samples are sent directly to a lab for identification.
      • Samples are analyzed to determine the species then cultured to determine if the spores collected are viable (living) or non-viable (not a threat
    • Mold Treatment
      • Our remediation experts will sanitize the affected area and restore it to the condition previous to the infestation using available green building practices that support indoor air quality and are environmentally friendly. Our work is guaranteed and our staff is courteous and professional.
