  • Often aligned with lesson but can be as granular as needed.
If you notice right off the bat, this particular slide does not appear to have a caption file and that would be correct. Instead for these presentation we provide transcripts.
Part of the reasoning is process/scalability and the other half is student experience
  • With each narrated presentation we provide a transcript download
Our transcripts, audio and video downloads are always in the lower right-hand side of our screen
  • Export audio and images from PowerPoint
Import audio clips into Adobe Premiere
Insert slide # audio clips between each audio file
    Submit audio file to 3Play
Download word doc and apply program specific template
Images exported from PowerPoint dragged into Word template
Long descriptions and/or titles are inserted
Exported as PDF with author, title and short description provided
  • Export audio and images from PowerPoint
Import audio clips into Adobe Premiere
Insert slide # audio clips between each audio file
    Submit audio file to 3Play
Download word doc and apply program specific template

Exported as PDF with author, title and short description provided
  • “I use the transcripts as a study aid.”
“I print out transcripts and highlight important concepts as the instructor speaks.”
“I often skip the presentations and read the transcripts offline.”
  • Each UW-System institution has an accessibility resource center
    All called something different
If we have a student with accessibility needs our student services rep works with the home campus to set up a 1:1 consultation
