ECH Campus Leadership Summit: Dr Sascha Henke - Presentation Transcript

    1. Connected Health Leadership Summit - 2009
      • Engagement Group
      • We need the CH perspective (the roadmap) in the next 20 years.
      • Definition of CH based on Remote Patient Monitoring.
      • CH is patient centered – enabling a truly personalized medicine
      • Emphasise the patient-doctor relationship as opposed to the doctor-doctor relation (telemedicine)
      • Smart monitoring, to help reduce the amount of data and provide a diagnostic component.
      • CH as a major component for improving medication compliance
      • In changing the behaviour of the patient will imply also changes on the behaviour of the doctor.
      • In HCS pilot studies have tended to become not operational, instead, we need to capture the perspective of the patient as a consumer being able to manage their chronic conditions from their home.
      • One of the drivers in CH will be the huge environmental footprint of traditional healthcare.
