Here are someexamples of what certain types of poop could potentially mean. Diarrhoea – food moving through too fast. If green could potentially mean E.C.E virus, a sudden change in diet or lymphoma etc. Bloody poop - very bad sign usually from rectum or large bowel. Could be caused by a haemorrhage. Best to take ferret to the vet. Grainy poop - could be a sign of body not digesting foods properly eg. fats. Can also be a sign of disease or a ferret in need of a change in diet. Monitor and consult a vet if you’re worried. Black and tarry poop - Usually not a good sign as could be caused by gastric ulcers. However, this can also normally occur after a ferret has eaten raw meat. Brown, smooth consistency, not too thin, not runny poop. – Usually classified as normal ferret poop. www.ferret-world.com
