  • 2. Geology <br /> Geology- the study of the structure of the Earth or another planet, especially its rocks, soil, and minerals, and its history and origins<br />
  • 3. Astronomy<br />Astronomy- the scientific study of the universe<br />
  • 4. Oceanography<br />Oceanography- the scientific study of oceans, including their chemistry, biology, and geology<br />
  • 5. Meteorology<br />Meteorology- the scientific study of the Earth's atmosphere, especially its patterns of climate and weather<br />
  • 6. Biosphere<br />Biosphere- the whole area of Earth's surface, atmosphere, and sea that is inhabited by living things<br />
  • 7. Geosphere<br />Geosphere- the solid matter of earth, as distinct from the seas, plants, animals, and surrounding atmosphere<br />
  • 8. Hydrosphere<br /> Hydrosphere- The portion of Earth's surface that is water, including the seas and water in the atmosphere <br />
  • 9. Atmosphere<br />Atmosphere- the mixture of gases that surrounds an astronomical object such as the Earth<br />
