Wyomings Geographical location is Fremont county. Wyoming is 360 miles long and 280 miles wide. </li></ul><ul><li>      </li></ul><ul><ul><li>      longitude :104 3 'w to 111 3 'w . </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>       latitude:  41 N to 45 N . </li></ul></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><ul><li>  Wyoming is borderd by Montana on the north.On the south-Colorado and utah.On the east- South Dakota and Nebraska. On the- Idaho and Utah. </li></ul></ul>

  7. 7.            Topographical Features : <ul><ul><li>Wyomings outstanding  features are its majestic mountains  and high plains . </li></ul></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><ul><li>The mountain ranges provide effective barriers. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>       </li></ul><ul><ul><li>  The barriers fotce the air cuttents moving in from the pacific ocean to rise and drop much of their moisture along the western slopes . </li></ul></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><ul><li>There are several mountain ranges , but the mountains themselves cover less area than the high plains. </li></ul></ul>
  8. 8.    Humidity :      and        Evaporation : <ul><ul><li>The average humidity is quite low and provides delightful summer weather. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>           </li></ul><ul><ul><li>But on a few occasions it will be as low as 5 to 10 percent. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><ul><li>The information is determined from evaporation pans at selected  locations </li></ul></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><ul><li>The overall range is from 30 to about 50 inches. </li></ul></ul>

Sunshine :      and      Severe Storms : <ul><li>           For most of the state, sunshine ranges from 60 percent during the winter.  </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>There  is  about 75  percent of sunshine  during the summer. </li></ul><ul><li>  For Wyoming hailstorms are the most destructive type of local storm. </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>    Every year damage to crops and property from hail amount to many thousands of dollars. </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>   Some farmers occasionally lose an entire crop by hail. </li></ul>

Precipitation:       and        Tornadoes: <ul><ul><li>     For Wyoming the period of  maximum precipitation  occurs in the spring and early summer. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Precipitation is greater over the mountain ranges and usually at the higher elevations. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>  In Wyoming tornadoes do occur, but they are much less frequent and destructive than those that occur in the midwest. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><ul><li>The small amount of destruction is partly due to the fact that most of Wyoming  is open range country and sparsely populated. </li></ul></ul>

Growing Season:   and    Agriculture: <ul><ul><li>Freezes early in the fall and late in the spring are characteristic.  </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>This results in long winters and short growing seasons.  </li></ul></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><ul><li>  the average  growing season  for agricultural areas is approximetely 125 days. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Approximately 42 percent of the states total area is privately-owned land. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><ul><li>The majority of the state is u </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>sed for grazing and the land usually looks dry. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>                   </li></ul><ul><ul><li>  The average for most cattle grazing is about   35  to  40 acres per cow. </li></ul></ul>
  12. 12.          Wyomings tempurature : <ul><ul><li>  Because of its elevation ,wyoming has a relatively cool climate. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>  Above the 6,000 feet level the temperature rarely exceeds 100  F . </li></ul></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><ul><li>  The  highest recorded temperature was 144  Farenheit   on  JULY  12 ,1900,  in the big horn basin.  </li></ul></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><ul><li>The lowest recorded for the state is  -66 farenheit  on  FEBRUARY 9, 1993 , at Yellowstone  Park. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul>
