It is the 50th state, admitted to the union in Flag 1959. It has an estimated population of 1,360,300. It covers a land mass of 10,931 sq miles. It is the newest of the 50 US states becoming part of the Union on August 21, 1959. Hawaii has the only royal palace in the United States. It was a kingdom until 1893.
