1. 1. Real world slopes

by jakob robinson

 2. 2. WHAT IS A SLOPE

A slope is the steepness, grade ,or incline of a line.

the formula Y=MX + B helps you find the slope of a line which will be explained later in the power

point.

 3. 3. positive slope A positive slope is a line that increases to the left a positive line can increase at any angle a linear parent slope is a line that increases at a degree angle of 45
 4. 4. negative slope

a negative is slope that decreases.

on a graph it decreases to the left .The picture of these mountains show what a negative line looks like

 5. 5. steeper slope

A steep slope is a line that increases at a high rate

MT .Everest has the steepest

slope in the world.

 6. 6. zero slope

the zero on a graph is a horizontal line.

This mean that the line has no slope.

The horizon line during a sunset is an example of a zero slope

a flat desert land is another example

 7. 7. undefined slope

An undefined slope is described as a vertical line

every where we see cell phone towers .those are example undefined slopes

tall towers if put on a graph

would be an undefined slope

 8. 8. flatter slope

a flatter slope can be defined

as a flat line with no tiny increases of a bare area

land that has been frozen

over usual have no creases or

cracks

newly paved roads have no

debris on them making them

flat.

 9. 9. heres a video about slopes

 10. 10. THE END SPEACIAL thanks to youtube videos and www.flickr.com . thanks for watching
