  2. 2. + Gay — Straight Alliance At CA Real Life Situation  Established due to student use of derogatory terms by SBC  As an SBC officer, we believe that such terms are being openly used in the CA community mainly amongst students in inconsiderate ways  Hence, use of derogatory language hints towards disrespectful attitude  Words such as “gay”, “faggot”, “homo” are potential words that can affect certain people’s emotions  As open-minded students of the IB and CA, we should respect and compassionately impact our society (at the least)
