  • Formula Bar• Appears directly below the toolbar in the worksheet; displays a formula when the cell of a worksheet contains a calculated value
  • Highlight• Entry point of a worksheet; highlighted cell is indicated by a dark border; to shade text with color to emphasize important text or graphics
  • Name Box• Area on the left side of the worksheet formula bar that identifies the cell reference f the active cell
  • Rotated Text• Displays text at an angle within a cell of a worksheet
  • Style• A predefined set of formatting options that have been named and saved
  • Fill• Copies data into the cellsadjacent to the oringal copy
  • Freezing• Keeps rows or columns titles on the screen no matter where you scrollin the worksheet
  • Splitting• Divides an excel screen in 2 or 4 part/ Splitting is particulary useful when you want to copy data from one area to another in a large worksheet.
  • Formulas• Equation that calculates a new value from values currently on a worksheet
  • Point-and-click-method• Constructs a cell formula in Excel by clicking n the cell you want to reference rather then keying the reference
