What Shouldn’t I Post? › Start conversations by sharing experiences of your GIG journey • Helpful resources, links and documents • Success stories • Updates on your own GIG program experience • Questions and requests for help • Replies offering assistance • Updates or stories about someone else in your GIG – what happens in a GIG stays in a GIG! • Inappropriate jokes or derogatory criticisms. • Stories, experiences and links that are not related to improving your own and others life plans and personal finances • Anything you would not feel comfortable sharing with your own GIG group Sharing is caring, but beware of the overshare!
  • 19. ⌃ ⌃ Who Would You Rather Follow? Constructive posts Not so appropriate posts › Be constructive and helpful. Move the conversation forward. • “Where can I find good commentary on the share market? • “The Wall Street Journal composed this article about women and finance.” • “Great work by our GIG! Here’s to completing all our actions over the month!” • “I’m having a tough time finding an accountant in Perth. Any suggestions?” • “Thanks for the post. Sure, I can help you with your bucket list. Here’s mine.” • “Look at what I ate for lunch! It may look like beef but it’s actually turkey.” • “I know this violates confidentiality but I just have to share this stuff up.” • “What kind of approach is that? That’s not my fault. Your decision stinks.” • “I’m bored. Anyone want to go get a coffee?” • “Does anyone know a good podiatrist? I have this weird rash on my foot.” Sharing is caring, but beware of the overshare!
