3. CURRENT PRODUCTS & MARKET RESEARCH
I have already researched current products
extensively, such as newspaper design
conventions, content and more.
I have also conducted some market research,
which allowed me to choose the scope of my
newspaper and its target audience.
4. CONTENT
Content is extremely important in a regional
paper, and my research has shown that
people like a relatively even balance of
content in their newspaper, with equal
amounts of regional news as well as national
news. My paper would cover all of
Shropshire, excluding Telford & Wrekin. This
is because papers that do this have better
circulation, according to research.e
5. AUDIENCE
My audience will be traditional newspaper
readers, often middle aged to older people
which is the most common viewership
demographic.
Often these demographics like a combination
of local and nation news
6. MOOD BOARD & STYLE
As part of my research I analysed many
newspapers; here is a moodboard of my more
preferred ones, from which I will take
inspiration for my designs
