    2. What Are The Basics?
      • Attitude – GCSE RE has to be taken seriously
      • Homework & Revision – assume that all current homework is to revise classwork and make sure homework is always complete on time
      • Books – you should keep books presentable and should always remember to bring them to class
      • Behaviour – your behaviour should reflect someone wanting to do the best they can in GCSE RE
    3. Why GCSE RE?
      • Developing your belief in God
      • How can evil exist if God is good?
      • What is the meaning and purpose of life?
      • What happens when we die?
      • What should I do to help those who suffer?

      • RE is here to help us to think deeply about the most important issues in life.
      • RE should help anyone (Christian or not) to think more deeply about what is important about life.
    4. Exams:
      • You sit 2 exams, that are 1 hour, 30 mins
      • Each of these exams are worth 50% of your final grade in RE
      • You sit one exam in year 10, the other in year 11

      • Year 10:
      • Edexcel unit 3,
      • Believing in God, Matters of life and death, marriage and the family, religion and social cohesion
      • Year 11:
      • Edexcel unit 8,
      • Religion and social responsibility, religion and the environment, peace and conflict, crime and punishment
